Massacres happen when no one is there to return fire.

... Isn't it nice. If your name is Earnhardt or Gordon you can do whatever you please  . Both of them passed under the yellow line to advance their position, yet neither were penalized. Yet when Sterling did it to avoid a wreck they made sure he got it. Oh well, same **** they(Nascar) have been pulling since the 60's,with the Hemi and the winged cars. If you can't beat 'em,outlaw 'em  ... Doug

I agree with that.

I'll definately get flamed for this, but I never thought of Dale Earnhardt as a hero. I regard him as a dam cheater who died when his own underhanded tactics went wrong. Yet, NASCAR always seemed to overlook the actions of "the intimidator". Just a cheater, if you ask me.

Oh, the way he used to run into other drivers to get position as if he were in a demolition derby. Trading paint is one thing, but deliberately forcing people to the wall or the infield is just reckless. It usually gets people hurt or killed; in the end, it was him.

He was a good driver in his own right, but he pulled a lot of unsafe and dangerous crap. I don't have a rulebook in front of me, but I believe most of it was against NASCAR guidelines. Just my opinion.

In other words, your complaint is that Dale knew the rules so well that he could make them work FOR him instead of AGAINST him.

"Rubbing" has always been a part of NASCAR racing.

BTW, did you ever see Junior Johnson race? :D

My turn.....

I live half way between the Darlington and Rockingham race tracks; never been to either one. I wouldn't pi$$ on em if they were on fire, like all other professional sports, they're too crooked!:-{}

Funny thing is... ...

Ask Matt Kenseth, the driver that Jr. supposedly passed illegally. Why is it that everyone except Matt was complaining.

If it wasnt legal and I was the one robbed of a win, damn sure I'd be yellin.

I think I'm gonna find me a shirt saying

"Earnhardt Jr... ..... The chosen one" and wear it proudly

Jealousy is ugly. The controversies wont stop until someone finds a way to beat DEI at these tracks. Funny how much rivalry there is now between DEI and RCR since Dale Sr. is gone. RCR has the same technology but 3 idiot drivers that cant get the job done.

Pretty soon Nascar will adopt IRL rules and all the cry babies will be happy. "Oh you touched me going into the corner. . wahhhhhhhhhhh. " :-laf

Check out the popularity of IRL or Formula one in the US and understand it ain't American to race that way. I have no respect for any driver who would let another driver with a slower car block them from taking the win.

If you don't want to hit the wall, get out of the way!!!

If you want to make a rule saying they can't push a slower car out of the way then you need to make a rule that says the slower car must move over... ... ... ... ... ... ... . sounds like formula one to me.
