My autometer pryo was doing something similar and all I did was take the probe out of the manifold, clean the soot off and put it back in and I've had no problems since.
You'll be fine with either, I got a Valair because I couldn't afford a SB at the time but so far it's been awesome, both seem to be great companies, had no experience personally with SBC but heard good stuff, Dan at Valair is top notch so either way you'll be fine, just don't get a centerforce...
Sounds pretty good to me, that centerforce clutch is gonna be the weak link for you, my truck had one in it when I bought it and once I put a plate and gov. springs in mine and it slipped my clutch, just my two cents and experiences. Enjoy your truck!
I replaced all my vacuum lines when my cruise stopped working and my dash vents stopped blowing, it solved both problems, check the vac line near the turbo, it may have gotten hot and cracked, I used silicone hose for all mine and I've had no problems since.
New ceramic button clutch goin in friday, prob gonna change the fluid. I'm thinkin' about goin with Royal Purple. Not sure if I need to use the RP synchromax manual trans fluid or the RP Maxgear high performance gear oil 75-90. Also need to know how much it will take. If there are other...
