I turned my previous truck into a single, and cut the old dually fender sections off of the rusted box. There is no other difference other than the cut out wheel opening. I sold those flares and the wheels and bits for the price of a replacement box and steel wheels.

I'd keep my eye on the auctions for a good used set. We bought some low priced setups for our fleet and They are a royal pain. Constant re calibration on the balancer. cheap parts etc.

Yesterday case in point. Start it up for work, and within a mile it's like I pushed in the clutch. drift to the side of the road, shut it down and restart, all new ball game, so I turn it around, it blanks out again, restart, head home and it won't climb the driveway. restart, park and borrow...

I pulled out the spring myself. and after going over all of the connections it's shifting like normal again. Most of the time. every so often it will throw a wild card at me.

SO I will report that after going through all the electrical connections, and cleaning them up, it shifted fine on a ten mile backroads trip. lots of up and down shifting. My PCM has no visible ground strap, so I loosened and tightened all the screws, thinking that was how it is grounded.
