Thanks ALL
I was surprised when the Dr said that hospitals were for sick folks, and said you can leave. Took most of the day to run tests just to see if I was good enough to leave. But I finally did get a reprieve from staying longer. Have to go back in 2 weeks for a check up but all looks good with the implant and blood is ok as long as I watch what I eat with the Blood thinner. That stuff makes me sick but Warfarin has been around a long time all of my surgeries I use it to prevent blood clots, some of the newer stuff isn't all that tested or you are doing the testing, I will take being sick for a few weeks knowing that's about as bad as it gets.
Penny's doing WAY TO MUCH to help me out, I cant get my leg on yet its still pretty sore so she's doing the chores in the barn and around the house and I do what I can cooking and taking care of things that way.
I was happy to have a good steak when I got home yesterday evening. The one that I had a the hospital I almost needed my chainsaw to cut it up. With Penny's Fathers and our Son's beef a fork is about all that's needed to eat the Steak dinner and all the fixins. The pancakes this morning weren't the man-hole covers in the streets like I've been choking down. The hospital was concerned with me loosing weight, I reminded them that heavy pain killers are pretty good apatite suppressants and the food isn't the most appealing in the world what do you expect.
I REALLY ENJOY THE QUIET!! ya just don't realize how quiet it is until you stay a few days in the city. My ears are ringing ( maybe from the drugs) but they quit ringing this AM when I hobbled to the kitchen put on the coffee and went to the deck to watch the day start with my Mother-in-law.
Thanks for all the well wishes, its not over by a long shot I have lots of re-hab to do, they had to slit a Quadricept muscle pretty far down the inside of my leg to get at the artery, Putting on the leg is encrusting it wont go on anyway with the swelling.
Take care and don't jump off of high things with a peg leg
