I did the same thing to mine when it was almost new. i just do like what was said and hit another gear before reverse to get every thing stoped and it goes right in. been like that for at least 50k and never seen any shavings in the oil. i don't worry about it
Mt friend just took one of these systems off his truck,went to 5 inch stacks. I would say if you did it for sure use a muffler. he diddn't and it was really loud inside the truck. it was cool on his truck but i wouldn't want to listen to it every day. Looked realy nice though
