Attention: TDR Forum Junkies To the point: Click this link and check out the Front Page News story(ies) where we are tracking the introduction of the 2025 Ram HD trucks.
I've seen and researched the afe and k&n kits but I'm not certain I want to go with this choice. Fine kits indeed but I'm looking for a free flow open filter with the durability of paper.
I've seen a couple of references on other boards to a kit from TYMAR. It's in use on the Stroke's and...
AH64,
Remco has (IMHO) an odd fork mechanism that can be clamped on to the back of the differential. The fork slips into the groove of the coupler device. A cable is then run from the fork to a shift lever in the cab allowing you to engage or disengage the coupler. I've elected not to install...
We all know Dodge deleted the Center Axle Disconnect (CAD) beginning with the mid 2002 trucks.
If your like me and have a truck with no CAD and want to use your 4WL gears on hard pavement to move your heavy trailer around tight spots, I've found an affordable solution.
Remco Towing makes...
Hey guys,
I got the drive shaft back from the shop yesterday. They did do nice work on the installation of the disconnect device, however they didn't do so well in the balancing department. The drive shaft vibrated like a roto-rooter:rolleyes: .
Anyhow, they’re fixing the problem and...
Thanks for the confirmation guys; this board is the best.
I hope to get my drive shaft back from the shop today or tomorrow. I should have some PICs I can upload this Friday.
In the meantime, here is the link on Remco's drive shaft disconnect product: http://www.remcotowing.com/drive.asp...
Pit Bull, yes I'm aware dodge deleated the disconnect on the axle for the mid 2002 trucks; mine is one of them.
What I need to know is if I take my front drive shaft OFF the truck and go driving down the road in 2WH, will I damage my transfercase or 6-speed transmission.
Any info here...
Ok 4WD Rammers... I'm checking in to an affordable (and reasonable I think) solution to allow us 2002 4WD guys to engage 4WLow gears on dry pavement without damaging our 4WD driveline.
In short, I'm looking at installing a disconnect device on the front drive shaft. Remco makes the device...
I'm looking from inputs from you heavy haulers out there who have tried the Scotty Air II on our 24v CTD.
Wildcast Diesel is posting some pretty big EGT reduction numbers, however I'm currious if any of you have realized these types of reductions (200 - 300 degree reduction pre turbo under...
Redneck-
Ditto on the pyro search above.
For the Boost installation, If you decide to tap the Airhorn for your boost readings I'd recommend taping a couple of inches above the coupling to your charge air down pipe. Remember to disconnect and cover the down pipe while your taping the...
JW- you've got the right technique, but I'd like to make one safety recommendation. Just to remove all possibility of siphoning any anti-freeze into your source water supply, I'd recommend putting an anti-siphon coupler between that garden hose and the head heater hose. Preston makes a great...
BS- Holley makes perfectly good pumps however I believe I read somewhere that these pumps are not rated for continuous duty. Thought I read it on the SummitRacing technical pages but I just checked and couldn't find the source; perhaps another TDR member can chime in here.
Run a search on...
Milemarker- selective drive discontinued
RSPINKS- Bad news on the Milemarker 'selective drive' option. I just talked to John at Milemarker and he told me they have phased out this product and no longer have any inventory:(.
I also would like to use my 4wLo gears on hard pavement for moving...
I took the factory Schrader off of the VP. Geno's sells a replacement Banjo Bolt that will screw right in to the hole where the Schrader was. This position is where the Lift Pump delivers fuel to the VP. Input fuel pressure readings here represent the end pressure that the Lift pump is...
