I had only a 3/8-in drive and had to press down on the bumper to keep the extension from hitting the bumper. More significantly, the adapter for the torx bit happened to be right where it would hit the bumper. Mildly annoying. A towel would have been a good idea.
For anyone interested, the Torx is a T30. I bought a set of the larger sized torx bits for use with a socket wrench. The task would be simpler if you had one of those long, T-handled torx wrenches.

Howdy, folks. I got out my old cheapo 4000-lb floor jack last night to see if it would work on the 2500. It has a 6" to 15" lift capacity, which seems like it would be enough. I slid it under tha axle and started jacking it up. The tire was almost off the ground when the jack just got impossible...
Howdy, folks. I was going to install a set of Sylvania Silverstar bulbs for the headlamps last night. Found out I don't have a torx wrench to fit the bolts. The bolts appear to be 10mm, but the outboard one is a little hard for me to get to with a socket. Figured I'd just buy the appropriate...
Oh, yeah, I should mention that I'm in New Hampshire, and had the liner sprayed in by the folks at Rhino Linings of Merrimack, http://www.extremepickup.com. The owner, Chris, was helpful and informative. Bonus: he has a deal with Enterprise so that you can rent a car for $15 for the day while...
Howdy, folks. Thanks for all the input. I had the Rhino lining applied yesterday and am very happy with the results. The spousal unit is pleased as well and perhaps now will let me put something in the back of the truck.
I had the lining sprayed over the rails. Having it reach only as far as...
Howdy, folks. I am getting a Rhino Lining on my 2004. 5 2500 Quad SWB. I plan to add a truck cap at some point (soon). My intent is to leave it on pretty much all the time, but we all know how intentions can change.
The Rhino guy said if it were his truck, and the cap were staying on most of...
Howdy, folks. I looked around the forum but did not see this; perhaps I missed it. I was wondering if y'all could give me some idea what you are paying at the dealer for a Jake brake. This would be going on a new 2500 HO diesel 6-speed.
thanks, bws
