Just like the dimples on a golf ball, what you see inside the cross vanes may be put there to disturb the air flow on purpose. Some things are counterintuitive.
My '03 does not have the guide vanes in the lower elbow at the turbo inlet. Wished I could get them for my '03 and see if it made a...
Apparently only the Rotella T4 is packaged in the 3 gal soft pack, I was unable to find any info on the internet about the T6 being packaged in the 3 gal box. I use 5W-40 T6 so I will have to stick with the gallon jugs. Oddly Home Depot has proven to be cheaper than Walmart or any of the parts...
Only time I've ever heard the chime was when the turn signal didn't cancel or I put it on accidently. After a given amount of time, the chime starts up. It was difficult to figure out what was causing it at first.

CORRECTION In my previous post or pics I described the Delphi/Aptiva connectors incorrectly. They are Metri Pack 280 connectors. I believe I misspelled Metri Pack and called them 180 when they are actually 280. Hope I didn't mess anyone up with this misinformation

PacBrake used to show an optional cylinder vent that mounted on the cylinder port. The moment pressure dropped below some preset point, the vent would open directly to atmosphere to dump the pressure rapidly. I cannot find it in their website after much looking, so its either been eliminated or...
An alternative to my suggestion to bare a section of the adapter wire, wrap, solder, heat shrink, and wrap is to make the adapter and use the provided T tap to connect. You are only punching into the adapter harness, which is easily repaired or replaced if needed.
You have a lot of leeway...
This is from the installation manual of a EB kit designed for use with existing onboard air, such as a compressor for use with air bags/springs, or simply for servicing tires, etc.
Pacbrake PRXB exhaust brakes require a minimum of 100PSI to fully close the butterfly valve, ensure your pressure...
Thought I'd add two pics of the adapter harness I made for tapping ignition signal from the fuel filter heater circuit. This is a no poking wires setup and I got the idea from the BD Howler kit instructions, as that is how they get power for the circuits on the BD Howler turbo conversion. This...
The pressure bleeder is a lot of work, and you go thru a lot of fluid, but thr process is vastly superior to old methods which I have done for over 50 years. Prior to replacing the brake system with a complete Power Stop Z36 kit and all new flex hoses, I did a complete flush of the 21 year old...
Both mine and Chile's are rear wheel drive and have rack and pinion steering, so nothing underneath to get in the way.
When replacing the radiator, I first removed the LH wheel wheel shroud, and then took the windshield washer bottle down and out the bottom. With it out of the way, the radiator...
$83 each, wow!. I see how it works, sorta, searched for a video and didn't find one. I only used the ones on the truck due to the higher pressure and the violent blast of a disconnect with a regular coupler. At home I have no issues with disconnecting hoses with 100 psi on the coupler, but do de...
I have removed the fan and clutch assembly twice simply by disconnecting the wire harness, and pulling the scrivets that hold the lower shroud portion in and removing it, then after unscrewing the fan from the hub, carefully, I lowered it out the bottom. Did this by myself. First time I used a...
Basically the hub on the front is the electric slip ring connection from the wires to the electric valve. Make sure the plastic stiffner is properly installed on the wiring and that the wire is properly mounted/connected to the shroud so the wires cannot get into the fan.

No its still requires a fair amount of effort at the high pressures to plug the hose in to it. I think its just zinc plated steel, not sure, its covered with plastic so the only metal exposed is the threaded section and the very end where the nipple fits. They are made for different types of...
