Chile,

I looked at mine the other day and it seems the coolant recovery bottle is held in by one screw into a tab on the driver side, one tab that sits in a slot on the upper fan shroud at the top and one other tab at the bottom that sits in a slot on the lower fan shroud. Is that correct? I also looked at the possibility of removing the fan and hub from below as Charles does it; it looked like it would be difficult because of all the steering linkages in the way. I really just can't wait 'till it's my turn.

Glad you were able to get it sorted.

Both mine and Chile's are rear wheel drive and have rack and pinion steering, so nothing underneath to get in the way.

When replacing the radiator, I first removed the LH wheel wheel shroud, and then took the windshield washer bottle down and out the bottom. With it out of the way, the radiator overflow also came out the bottom, before I removed the upper radiator hose.

I have no qualms about pulling the plastic wheel well liners, eight screws, just reinstall by hand, feeling for the threads to follow in the existing thread in the hole, so you don't strip them. I had them out to do the pacbrake, and later the radiator.

Charles
