Has anyone swapped out their front rotors and calipers with 3rd gen ones. I have heard that this is a direct bolt on replacement? Have heard that it will increase stopping power by 33%. You would have to run 17 in. wheels, which would be no big deal.
I just replaced my four shocks with bilstein 5100's. So far they seem great. Could definitely tell a difference in ride quality. I've got a four inch lift and the shocks that came with it were not good. The rears were blown out, front seemed OK though.
Getting ready to take the toy hauler on a...
With a 4K trailer on I don't think that you or your truck will know that it is behind you at all. I would not think that you will have any kind of issues at all. :)
I have the same setup as DMannon does and am very impressed with this setup. Very rock solid system with constant pressure. And i can't here to much of anything from inside my cab anyway. :D
I used the exact same setup on my truck. All you have to do is plug in the single connector I believe that it was pink in color on mine, plug it in to the existing single 9004 plug in. Then plug the other two into the new lights.
Wire up your relays to the battery and your done. Unless your...
After some rain today I noticed some water drips rolling down the floor pan from up inside the upper corner of the passenger floor board. I took a small mirror and flashlight and could see some water drops coming from what looks like the inside of where the door hinge is welded into to the...
I too went with these lights and they work excellent. Straight forward swap out did not have to lower the front bumper or anything. A well worth up grade. :D
After more poking around and finding that the back seat floor board was just as wet as the front I ran a bead of sealant on the bottom of the back window. Took out the third break light and found that the gasket looked like it had shrunk up quit a bit. Cleaned all of the algae growing in it...
I found that my passenger side floor board was saturated with water today. pulled up the carpet mopped up as much as I could with the shop vac and found that it looks like water is draining just in front of the door between the cab. Like it might be running down the door pillar.
I forced a...
If you don't use longer control arms your front tires will set alittle farther back close to the wheel well. And will allow the tires to rub if using larger tires. The longer arms will center your front wheels to where they need to be.
I changed out my 3. 55's for 4. 10's and it made a world of difference. I pull an 11K toy hauler and my truck is running with 315 tires, so by changing out my gears was the only way to go for me. I get around 10. 5 to 12 mpg when towing.
My truck did the same thing this past week. I was pulling my toy hauler which was 10,700lbs. I was pulling a 10mi. up hill single lane road in second gear and right before cresting the hill my tanny temp was 250 and my truck temp was 230 and the idiot light came on to check gauges. When I crest...
