Do a search for valley off road cummins chevy 10 speed conversion.

Do a search on youtube or dieseltruckresource. It has been done by a few people who seemed to be pleased with the results. There is a video of a mid 80's chevy truck with a 12 valve cummins on youtube that sounds awesome splitting gears.

From my understanding, there are no other differences other than the final gear ratio. If you are going from the 09 to 05 it might take some getting used. My early 06 tows like a dream but is wound tight on the interstate.
