I use the ones right out of the box. I buy the two-box set at Costco, which has 200 sheets in each box. I have never tried the ones out of the dryer..... now you have me thinking... ... .
Just get a few 'Bounce' sheets ( thats what I use for both my Rig and RV ), get them wet and wipe the bugs.
Doesn't scratch the paint and the bugs just soften up and wash away.
You might get a 'haze' of oils, lanolin, etc, that comes off the sheets, but that washes away with soap and water...
I seem to have a similar issue with my exhaust brake as well. It has always been somewhat loud with a whooshing sound but now I get a whistle at times as well as a slight clatter at idle. I believe it is the butterfly valve, and that it is loose on the shaft. The whistling could be the gasket...
OUTSTANDING !
I thank you for the great information. Instead of posting I should just ask you right off. I mean you have helped me with a few things now, the removal of the blocks on the axles, the installation of the superglide, the location of wiring diagrams and now this.
Thank you...
Thanks Mr. Lenger, I have seen the scales many times but wondered how they differentiate between front and rear and the problem of being exactly centered on a scale designed for big-rigs.
:-laf She is German... I am Swedish..... since she is looking over my shoulder as I type this..... she will drive and I will push !
BTW, your web page on the Pull-Rite install was excellent. I think they have changed the kit a little as my install was a little different (short bed vs...
Lets see here... ... I had 400 lbs of 5th wheel hitch in the back... . a tank of gas and a shell... ... Just how much weight do I need to put in the back before you think I can have traction ?
I looked for the front/rear wieght ratio and found this : Percent weight, front/rear 52/48. I think...
Then it is another misnomer as "anti-spin" means "no-spin" in my book... which is belied by the fact that my wheels do, in fact, spin.
To be honest here, lets face facts. Regardless of what we were sold, some of us ( maybe more ) believed that we were being sold a vehicle that would not get...
Its pretty nice to be able to put it in a gear and keep the torque band and RPM's right where you want them.
Shifting these things as been called 'rowing' through the gears, but I fell that having that real mechanical connection between the engine and transmission is stronger than fluid...
So here is a link to an explanation to how different "Limited Slip" stuff works.
http://auto.howstuffworks.com/differential10.htm
The key comment on the Torsen differential is this:
" However, if one set of wheels loses traction completely, the Torsen differential will be unable to...
I pull a 30' Crossroads fifth wheel at around 11000 lbs. I have the 6-speed and 4. 10 rear end. If I had it to do over, I would have gone with the 3. 73 rear end.
My truck could pull TWO fifth wheels and still not notice it. Plus the 3. 73's would give me a higher top speed ( it would be nice...
I do know that my old 1968 mustang with limited slip, worked far better than this new dodge. My mustang did not have four wheel drive and yet I could drive in muddy conditions ( I lived in the Santa Cruz, CA mountains at the time ) and not get stuck. My new truck though got stuck when one rear...
My complaint is that it is stated by Dodge as a "Limited Slip Differential" NOT "Limited, One wheel turns unless you have your e-brake partially on, have a great weight in the back, or play foot games with all the pedals Differential"
It all comes down to the fact that we want the wheel that...
