When I bought the truck last week it had 87,600. I already put 2,000 miles on it. They add up quick. I bought the manual (mopar)from genos along with all my guages, pods, and a couple of other goodies. I also bought a 4" down pipe. I plan on running it staight out with a 4" or 5" stack. I priced...
I just got an '02 3500 4x4 quadcab with an auto trans. My maghytec pan also just came in and was getting ready to change it out when I was told that I could only use mopars atf+4 fluid. Has anyone else any other kind of fluid? The owners manual says when you pull the pan you shoud also adjust...
I see what your trying to do. At least if you get the pin to go in you'll have a better idea about where it is going to hit. I think it is easier if you have some one turn the engine while your pushing the pin. Are you the original owner of the truck? If your not, someone else could have already...
Are you trying to adjust the valves or pull the injection pump or what? Did you try rotating the engine and lock the timing pin to find TDC#1? Even if you get the intake valve to hit the piston, without locking the timing pin you still won't be at TDC on the money.
I am looking to buy a 2wd '96 3500 5 speed that is already equiped with a BD exaust brake. One of the first things I wanted to do was upgrade the exhaust to 4". Do I have to get a 4"brake or eliminate the one that is on there to receive any benefit from the larger exaust?
By the way the...

My name is Joseph. I am a diesel mechanic and live in Calallen. I don't have the set up but I might be able to find one. I know Jeff Prince, he is really good with dodges. In fact that is about all he works on. E-mail me @ -- email address removed -- and we can exchange numbers and discuss...
Had a customer bring a '01 3500 5. 9 so. He told me a guy had worked on his trans(5-speed) and told him his lift pump was going out. He asked me to change it. I recommended the fass 95 upgrade lift pump and he sprung for it. I installed it and it worked great right off the bat. The next day he...
I have run into on more than one occasion that a first generation dodge with alot of miles on it runs very rough when you step on the accelerator in park or neutral. Sometimes it will even smoke a little white like unburned fuel. It seems like a fuel system problem. But I am not sure how to...
I am planning on buying a new truck in the next month or two. Does anyone know if there are any differences between the 2004. 5 and the 2005 trucks. The dealers I have asked don't have a clue. Thanks for any info.
Joseph
What happens exactly when it goes boom? I haven't been fortunate enough to bomb a diesel yet but have worked on many over the years. havent had much experience with waste gates either. I understand the principals behind the wastegate though, but am very curious about the boom factor and...
