On my '06, I did not have to remove the lenses... . After removing the 2 pillars, just remove single screw by windshield and pull down, the whole overhead comes down together.
I too have been running 265/70/17's on my '03 dually. I too have no issues of even getting close to rubbing on the duals. I got 100,000 miles out of Michelins and just put on another set . Love the ride and durability.
I've been running the 265 Michelins on my '03 DRW and have had no problems. Surprisingly, they still have a good space and do not rub at all. I have 60k on them and they still have alot of tread left. Hope this helps... . Good Luck

I put on 265 70 r17 Michelin LTX A/S about 10,000 miles ago and have been extremely happy with them. They still have 1 inch space between the duals. They look awesome.
