Agreed on the volt meter. Normally do this, but I knew these trucks take a while to activate the alt. It was cold and I was rushing so I went inside for a bit.
Got a new battery yesterday. but it didn't get above 10 degrees so it can wait another few days until it warms up a bit. I am...
Well, I figured out what I did. Now the question is what other damage did I do?
I forgot to reattach the cross over wire to the drivers side battery. I had folded it back on itself and it was on the aluminum valve cover.
So, problem 1, I assume the computer was telling the alt to charge...
2003 on the operating table here.
Had to buy new batteries cause a friend who borrowed truck left ignition on, killed batteries and then they froze.
Finally got them. Got installed correctly. I know it is a question someone will ask. Started and let run for a half hour or so. I go out, hop...
I have reached out to a place inOH and TX that supposedly makes these things with no response from either. When I walk into my local dodge dealer I will need a part number or they will be a monkey doing a math problem.
Anyone have one?
I was looking at what appears to be the tank vent. There are two front and rear with a plastic barb fitting, but no hose on them.
When it stops raining I am going to take a better look and if it is what I think it is, install hose on them.
I just went and measured mine. I am 78 1/4 inches from the front of the flange on the diff to the rear of the seal where it seats against the tail of the t case.

Well I found 22.5 traction rubber at a good price on ebay.
Called centramatics and they directed me to Tow Brothers on amazon. 175 vs 215 from centramatic
Got shocks and other maint items coming from genos garage. They are getting high in price these days vs local parts house.

I have a 03 Crew long box dually. I keep going through carriers. At least 1 a year. two this year!
Am I too long for a single piece? If not can I go the mopar direct drop in route? Part number please?
Getting to fixing my wifes cusomization of the bed side. Bed is off and I see I need some stuff.
Where should I be headed to find the following.
1. Single piece drive shaft. Been through too many carriers in the last 4 years. I am done with it. Last two carriers have only lasted 5k each...
Thanks to my $%^&*( wife my drivers side bed side is trashed.
I think it will be easier to buy a whole bed and just swap/paint vs cutting in a whole side and replacing fender etc.
Anyone know of a damage feee, rust free preferably black gen 3 dually bed?????
I didn't disconnect. It has been zip tied to my large excavator air cleaner for 7 years.
I had to move it around but that was it. Tried cleaning, etc. If I clear code with smarty it is back immediately.
Just strange that it could fail like that.
I checked voltage with a multimeter while...
