The holes are 1/8" pipe thread. I am using a Westach Type K probe. It measures 2. 5" x 3/16"

Bob, I use a(Napa Gold 1553) filter on my truck. Had it on for 10 years w/o any problems.

I installed one on my truck four days ago. It came with two tappings for the thermocouple just before the turbo. :)
