I have made 4 round trips from Alaska to to southern Texas with about 11,000 lb 5er, 2 of which were in my 03 with the auto, there were some grades I was down to 45 mph. With the 06 G56 no problem holding 55 on those same grades. I just keep rpms around 2500 before hitting the grade. My only...
I have used PIAA blades & really did like the way they cleaned with no streaks, chatter, or squeeks but... . maybe because we get so much slush with road grit in it they just did not last long enuf to justify the cost. I dont know what brand they are but I still have original blades on my Acura...
I posted some pics of frame rail cracks that my sandpiper 5th (made by forest river) had back in april & that they refused to warranty as it was over one year (just barely) these were very bad cracks & could of been a safety issue had I not noticed them. I am surprised that the feds has not made...
Any body using fogzilla kit on an 06? I am kinda leery of tryin them because of other posts I have seen about the touchy computer controlled electrical system on 06 models. They sure would come in handy here in moose country to light up brush & trees on sides of the road.
I have had two B&W hitches in long beds so no clearance problems . just wanted to mention it is very important to take a short pull after installation & RETORQUE!!! all bolts... mine were loose both times... have rechecked many times since but all bolts stayed tight after first retorque
I had an
03 auto didnt really like the way it handled my 5er so traded for 06 with g56. At first had problem with clunking on 1-2 shift. I found that not letting rpm go all the way down helped. I leave slight pressure on skinny pedal .
*&%##% Diggin foot out of mouth... friend at Volvo dealership said their factory nav had no way to update, I assumed way toooo much... Still tho $150 to update!!! wow
The factory installed nav looks gr8 but if ur planning on keeping truck very long there is no way to update it for changes in road systems. The Garmin C-330 I have is updated off the internet. There have been 3 updates since I purchased it bout 9 months ago. A good place to check the different...
On the cover they had "Tug of War Ford vs Chevy vs Dodge" So I just had to buy it. As with any magazine article I took it all with a grain of salt. Interesting article though. They were all duelies the Dodge was a Mega cab 2wd. The Ford & Chevy were 4wd crew cabs. The tug of war was pulling a...
I have had AIG for bout 3 years & have been very satisfied but then the only claims were for windshield chip repairs. I used to have Allstate for many years & checked other company prices often. I have 2 vehicles & my 5ver insured with them. They beat Allstate by about $65. 00 per month for...
Talked with a friend who manages a dealership for jaguar & volvo, was telling him about my garmin C-330 navigation unit & he was very impressed by the fact that you can update it by the internet. He said most factory installed units are out of date within a year or so because of changes &...
It is about half a mile to the small boat harbor, there are a couple of other parks but not much closer to the water... never saw anyone fishing from shore.
Dmurdock,
We just left Port Mansfield after staying a month at "The Park at Port Mansfield". It is on the left where the speed limit reduces just before town. It is almost brand new, cable tv, & wifi.
