I would like to install a wireless back up camera for my 14' Tradesman Crew Cab 2500 Long Bed Diesel. When I purchased the truck I went with the "Plain Jane" Tradesman package that did not include a backup camera. Now, I wish I spent the extra money that included this feature. I tried a Boyo...
I have been following this thread for some time. I agree that after spending so much on my truck Dodge decides to cut corners by not providing fuel caps and engine block heater electrical cords that came standard with my old 99' 2500.
I went to Home Depot and bought an 1 1/2 PVC end cap( not...
Has anyone heard of any updates about the R46 recall yet. I still have my recall notice but at my last visit to my Dodge Dealership in early August of 2015 nothing had been decided on for fix and/or replacement from Dodge.
So, I am just wondering if anything has happened or if I am still on...
Thanks for posting your frustrations....I thought that I was the only one who experienced this with my 2014 2500 4X4 Tradesman. From the first day I bought the truck I experienced "Check engine Lights' for one thing or another. This went on for many many months. It seemed that I was having to...
Electronic Satbility Control Light Activation
After reading about the cruise control issue you had I checked mine this morning, I luckily did not have any issues. My ESC Light has never returned since that narly road on HWY1 trip in NorCal (Mendocino Coast) filled with curves and 10mph...
Sag2,
Thanks for responding, the ESC light was on for a very short time, perhaps 2minutes then it cleared itself. I thought too that perhaps the tights turns and road angle may have added to the activation. Since then no ESC light has returned.

While driving my 2014 up the narrow and winding road of HWY 1 (Mendocino County) in Northern Calif. My ESC light came on for a short bit.
I was not towing and keep my ECS on as recommended by the manufacture.
I had never seen this light activated before. My passenger broke out the Owners...
All the software updates are current. Today, I went in to Reno Dodge and they discovered an Ammonia senor activation which was my first Check engine light the day I bought the truck nearly one year ago (P24 code) there was a TSB bulletin and a software update that went with this code. Everything...
Next week will be my seventh trip to my local Dodge Dealer in one year for activation of my check engine light. I have had numerous code activations and reprograming done since I purchased my 2014 4X4 2500 Tradesman almost a year ago.
I have only 9800 miles on the truck. My question to Forum...
I have a 2014 Diesel 4x4 Tradesman and needed flaps. After extensive research I decided on the Duraflaps. They are everything they advertise, easy to install, no drilling or cutting either. I can't speak for duallys but I am very happy with this brand for my single rear tire application, though...
I received a notification in the mail from Chrysler that there could be a problem with my 2014 2500 4x4 Tradesman.
It states," The Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) module on my truck may contain software that causes an intermittent loss of Speedometer, Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and...
Did you consider Carson Dodge, Reno Dodge or a Sacto Area Dealership? You could bring in a quote from Dave Smith and see if they could meet or beat it. I purchased a used 2011 3500 with 40k miles from Smith last July and had a horrible experience when the transmission gave out on my way home. I ended...
I had my first oil change done on my 2014 Tradesman at 3000 miles, to get rid of any breakin debris and oil. The only thing the dealership forgot to do was reset the Oil monitor on the EVIC. I did it once I got home with no problem.
Brillmtb,
Regardless of going with the 2500 or the 3500 there is also something you may want to consider. Some auto insurance agencies ( AAA) will not insure a 3500 because they consider the 3500 trucks as commercial vehicles. The insurance companies that I contacted who would insure a 3500 (not...
Wertles.....
Currently,on Page 3 of this forum there is a thread regarding this pesky code. I had it come up too with only 3600 miles on the truck. As I understood it, there was a communication problem in the system. I was told by the dealership my truck required a Updated Re-Flash. This was...
