Has Anyone plugged the capless fuel filler?

Not a bad idea. I've already have chased the plastic plug around the fuel station a few too many times.

Where did you buy the def cap?

I have been following this thread for some time. I agree that after spending so much on my truck Dodge decides to cut corners by not providing fuel caps and engine block heater electrical cords that came standard with my old 99' 2500.

I went to Home Depot and bought an 1 1/2 PVC end cap( not threaded) for irrigation systems. ($1.50) It's inside diameter fits nicely over the outer side of the fuel fill site (snug but not tight). I had to cut the cap's height in half because it was too tall and did not allow the fueling door to close completely.

I slept better last night knowing now no water or crap can make it's way into my fuel.

My truck came with a green plastic plug that the dealer did not remove. It has worked fine for me so far. Seals good and is the right color.

Received mine like that a few days ago. Works well, at least I can't forget it on the bed rail. #@$%!
