well, the oil has been changed often, never dry or low. no plowing, in fact no abuse whatsoever. kind of weird it just dies at 66k. your description sounds pretty accurate though. it does sound like something inside is slipping then banging. thanks.

ok-set all torches to stun-- even my DMax 2500 HD had a drain plug in the diff--or in hindsite, that could have been one of the 24 injectors i had replaced!!!! :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

i just finished searching this issue in quest of the same info---my understanding is Zerex go-5 (available at walmart) is the oem replacement coolant. if i'm, wrong---please correct me. hope this helps rich
