Yes, If the shaft is pretty bad I suppose that's best. I found a local place here in So Cal that does good work on alternators. I'm sure you can find that up where you're at too. If you're in a pinch, you can probably just do brushes for a short term deal. Best of luck, Rich

My 96 has done this on a curvy, two lane highway, while towing a trailer. It was just about time for an underwear change. I'm happy to see this thread, as I have always wondered if I was the only one. Someone is gonna get injured on this one. Rich

As an fyi: My installation of D25's causes my truck to lean slighty toward the driver side. Irritates me to no end. Rich

I have the Autospecialty Cross Drilled Rotors. I've had them for over a 100K with excellent results. I really like their 911 severe duty pads too. Good Luck, Rich

Open your hood and look for a small diameter black vacuum line (it's sort of has a hard plastic feel to it) running across the top of the engine wall, around the hood seal. Mine had a very obvious hole worn in it. Just run your fingers across it and you'll feel it. Good Luck, Rich
