I used the Donaldson M100580 51" long, 5" in/out. Used adapters to mate it to the 4" head and tailpipes. It flows more that anything, Is way quiet with no drone (even without the kitty)
I wanted max flow and real quiet... . I got it!
I have the wheel to wheel Westins on my 05. I am a big guy and the way they attach seems to be a bit weak as they tweak down on the drivers side. A bigger washer at the mounting point may be needed.
I just put a Donaldson #M100580 (5" in/out x 51" long) on my 05 3500 without a kitty. It sounds great to me. Nice and quiet under load and I know it flows more than anything else you can buy. It is a straight through design with a perforated baffle on the inlet side. I left the baffle in as it...
This is a different problem that could be related to a sticking door. I have seen everything from small batteries to pens and pencils that have found there way down through the defroster vent to cause problems. Some older chevy's would actually warp the plenum case and cause the door to stick...
Your problem is more than likely related to a failed compressor cycling switch or thermostatic switch which has a probe that contacts the evaporator fins. It is not properly cutting off the compressor when it senses that the evaporator is getting too cold. This is why it freezes up into a block...
I too experience a considerable bouce on a certain stretch of highway. Even with 800lb+ in back I can still feel it on this one stretch. I know bilstein makes a great shock, but I am still undecided on my upgrade shocks to date.
Been in the auto business all my life. You can't please every customer every time. There is going to be a percentage that is not pleasable and no matter what you do they will not be happy. Run your business to please the 98% that are good customers to deal with and fire the 2% that are non...
I agree. I have worked at a dealership as a service advisor. The Salesman were always promising things that they could not deliver (as told to the customer) You have to remember that there are three entities at a dealership ie; Sales dept. Parts dept. and Service department. Think of them as...
On the subject of installing a U. S. Gear. I had a 1976 chevy van with 4. 11 gears and a U. S. gear 22% overdrive. Drove from Sacramento to L. A. at night in the summer (No a/c on) with it in overdrive. Ran 65 mph at about 2800 rpm and got 13 MPG. Came back in the daytime and ran it out of...
Stopped by El Dorado Hills Dodge today and yes they are owned by the same owner group of Placerville Ford. The Sales dept. is open, but parts and service will not be opened until next week.
I'm with you on why don't our small displacement diesels get better mileage. Having been in the auto industry all my life I think it is all one big flippin consperacy. A 1955 chevy boat of a car that weighs 5000+ lbs would spit out half of it's fuel charge out the exhaust during an emission test...
I too bought my truck from El Dorado Dodge. Day and night difference from purchasing from the scam company Folsom Lake Dodge. Their Sales people were so slimmy with the way they treated me. Having been in the auto repair business all my life and having worked at an Acura dealership as a service...
