    Is the pressure limiter valve the same thing as the pressure relief valve?

    we have an 04. 5 has no power we swapped the relief valve then the FCA on the pump, then the cp3 still no better egts ran high no power and smoke a black haze all the time even at idol. Lift pump passed the flow test so we are clueless. Mabye the computer. It throws code 148 with no box on it.

    did not mean crank bearing but at time thought dampner could be root problem because of 2000 rpm vibration but think fan hub bearing is the whole culprit

    well when the high speed kicks in it get louder. It sounds to be crank bearing but its hard to tell with out tearing the engine apart.

    Does it sound like a a growl in the front of the engine. We got an 04. 5 that growls and wines according to engine speed. sounds to be in the front case . I have never hed one like this or herd of any related issues till i read your post. It may be the same for this truck.

    The wire closest to the block is the correct wire, used to have a comp on my truck. check out www.haisleymachine.com for an "injection pump lid" this replaces the stock lid, and uses a set screw to pierce the same wire, but inside injection pump. this is a much better method than "tapping" the wire
