Attention: TDR Forum Junkies To the point: Click this link and check out the Front Page News story(ies) where we are tracking the introduction of the 2025 Ram HD trucks.
Couple of things:
First, it's not the strength of the rear axle. It's mainly (and I say mainly because there is other factors as well, ie. tires and spring pack) the GVWR of the 2500 which is 10,000 lbs. You say your payload is 2500# so your truck empty weighs 7500#. 2500 + 7500= 10,000. You can...
First of all, the hammer screw driver anology has nothing to do with this and is ridiculous. Secondly, my comments weren't directed at any one person (ie. you). Third, I don't fly, but know several people that do and there is quite a bit of variance of throttle input throughout the flight...
The fact of the matter is, whatever algorithm Ram engineers are using for the EVIC is flawed. Nobody gives a rats *** about a arbitrary number of miles prediction. That type of calculations is completely useless and inaccurate in the real world, period. The technology is there and capable of...
I'm just stating that it doesn't matter if the tank holds 250lbs, it is a small tank in volume. If it could be adapted to run air tools, like suggested earlier in this thread, it will not run air tools that require large volumes of air. However, it's possible that it could run tools that don't...
Just in case you didn't know this, if the tank is small there isn't a sufficient volume of air to run most air tools such as grinders or impact wrenches. It could possibly run a nail gun or something like that though.
I think you need to go to a different dealer. Like you said, you can buy these trucks new from the dealer with lift kits and leveling kits under full warranty. A lot of lift kit companies will even cover repairs to suspension components if for whatever reason the dealer won't.
By the way, your...

It's not about weight capacity, it's about room. Load your short bed(with a tool box) up with 15-8' scaffold boards, 10 scaffold bucks and 10 braces along with some adjustable feet and out riggers and close your tailgate so you can tow a trailer. Let me know how that works out. I use my truck...
Thanks Snoking, you answered for me. MCLB would be a awesome. My current truck is almost too long for modern parking spaces, so what's a few more inches.
Only things I could suggest is try a different dealer and/or replace the O2 sensor again (would probably have to be done on your dime) and see if there is any difference. If there is a difference then perhaps you could recoup the money spent on the new sensor. Good luck and let us know what happens.
Thanks for the name. Whatever it's called, that's where it was leaking on mine, along with several other fittings on the EGR tube. Dealer replaced all the seals and torqued to spec. Every now and then I will get a whiff of smoke, but nothing like it was that first time.
As far as the DEF, sounds about normal. If your worried, just top it off and see how much it takes. Mine will take about 2-2.5 gallons as soon as it starts to drop off of full. The gauge is not linear at all. Takes forever to come off full and then drops fairly quickly after that.
As far as...
I don't think it will be that big of a deal. They already have frames long enough, either by using the 3500 C&C or 4500 C&C frames. Only question is how much fabrication changes will be needed for the cab installation. As far as hauling them, same as they do for C&C trucks. As a matter a fact...
