I agree with Nukeman. The procomp Extreme AT's are a great tire. They are reasonably priced, have a decent treadwear guarantee, perform well in the mud and snow as well as on the highway, and make very little noise.
I just bought my second set today!

You guys are lucky. I'm on my third set of ball joints and tie rod ends and I only have 50K miles on the truck. I admit I drive some pretty rough roads and use my truck for work but this is a little ridiculous! I have a Lorenz suspension and 35" tires (put on @ 40K). The ball joints (upper and...
I just had a Compustar Pro P2W9000FMR intalled in my truck a week ago by a local installation shop. It works great and has excellent range. It also has a lot of cool features like an alarm clock start (starts my truck at 6:30 am every morning), turbo cool down timer, and cold temperature start...
TFlory,
I used a 2. 5 inch strap hooked to his front pin and hooked to the reciever on my truck. You can just barely see it in the second photo. I just pulled straight and slow.

Thanks for the compliments. I thought I'd get a few comments on this post.
johncameron, The chevy owner who tried first was still there (it was the foreman for the job I think).
The best photo would have been one of my coworkers failing to pull him with their ford and then me pulling him...
The driver told me that if I ever needed any concrete products, to let him know. Unfortunately, I don't. I just did it for bragging rights since not one guy in my office with their big bad Fords even contemplated giving him a pull.
Having the pictures to prove it is gratuity enough!
They are constructing a new building across from my office. One of the semi-trucks loaded with a few prefabricated concrete walls got stuck on the site with the recent snow. I watched him try to get free for about an hour. They even hooked up a half ton chevy and tried to pull him out but the...
Yeah, I'm sure I could goo it up with something like silicone but I hate doing that on a $50K truck. I didn't even think about going to wrecker but you're right, I could easily get one from them since I think the grommet is the same from 03-06.
Thanks.
I'm looking for the part # for the rubber grommet/rubber seal that fits in the hole of the firewall just behind the brake pedal on an 06 3500 MegaCab. I was installing my quad box and cut a hole in the seal (for the wiring) thats too big! Now it leaks air, and with winter approaching I don't...
Yes the spedometer still works. I started the truck this morning and tried to put it in 4x4 and it worked! Started driving to the dealer (since I already had an appointment), tried to engage 4x4 while driving (<30mph) and it would not engage. It will only engage when standing still. Weird, since...
ABS/Brake light fix
I was driving home last week and I heard a chime. I look at the dash and the ABS and Brake light were lit up. I drove for a few days with it on and it never cleared itself. Got it to a dealer and they replaced the ABS module (Recall under warranty) and the lights still...
Thanks for the info Jonathan. I'm in Edmonton actually and I bought my truck from Southtown Chrysler. They have an excellent service department (part of the reason I bought from them) but the last few times I've had my truck in, one service advisor constantly gives me a hard time about chips and...
I recently had my rear brakes done and after about 500 miles, my truck started developing a sort of clunking coming from the driver side front tire. It isn't speed dependent but is definitely dependent on the roughness of the road and it is definitely stronger while braking. I can't so much hear...
My truck does the same thing (not all the time but often enough) during moderate to heavy acceleration. It will do it while accelerating and when I let off the throttle. It feels like it sputters for a moment then it backfires. Starved for fuel perhaps? No codes appear and the dealer "cannot...
