belt?? I had the same sounds on a hot muggy day a week ago... thought a bearing was going south somewhere. After more research I found it to be my belt causing the noise,,, it was louder with the A/C running also. Try a few shots of Armorall on the belt and see if it goes away.

pump swap If I'm not mistaken with out looking it up in the manuals, doesn't the mechanical lift pump for the prior 24 valve engines produce a much higher fuel pressure??? I know high fuel pressure on the VP44 is about as harmful as low pressure. Just a thought.

tuner Derek, does it say on the tuner display that it is VIN locked?? If so then someone has programed another truck with it and will not work on yours with out sending it to Superchips first to clear the stored VIN. Another thing is if the software is newer in your ECM than in the Superchips...

codes Well I can tell you what the codes stand for, not sure on fixing them. The P0500=no vehicle speed sensor signal, P1693=DTC detected in companion JTEC module. Sounds like to me you might have a speed sensor or maybe a wire connection going bad? Hope this helps. gary
