    reading 06 codes

    I know this thread is old but what is a "key release button"? Is that something found only on manual transmission trucks or 1 ton trucks? I don't think my 2006 3/4 ton automatic transmission truck has a key release button. Thanks.

    48RE Trans

    Yes but only 10-20 psi and it doesn't pump fluid through the torque converter. In Neutral it pumps fluid at 0-30 psi through the cooler and 5-50 psi through the converter. For more information refer to the 2006 service manual pages 21-1323 through 21-1335.

    What the heck is defueling?

    Is this why the 48RE transmission seems to shift slowly at wide open throttle? Is my engine being defueled before the shift actually takes place which makes it seem like the transmission is shifting slowly?
