I have the mag hytec rear diff cover with isspro trans gauge and find that it runs 90-110 deg warmer than outside temp empty and towing my 34' fw it runs 100-125 deg warmer than outside temp. I think the variation in temps depends on how fast I drive also.

I just pick up transmission oil from dealer friday and paid $9. 90 a quart. I asked the same question about it saying it was for the NV 3500. I then looked in my owners manual and the part # for the oil was the same as what the dealer gave me.

I did the same as ropinfool2 on my 03 CTD. Just marked the original position of the latch post with a pen ( just in case I moved it too far) and then moved it in a hair. Had to do this for both passenger and drivers door. It fixed the wind noise.

I had the same problem with my 2000 ctd. I found that if it sat for more than 10 days it wouldn't start. One night I had to run out to the truck in the dark and noticed the glove box lite was on through a faint glow on the floor. Hope this helps

If I remember correctly the top mark of the dipstick was approx. 3/4 inch above old oil level, (didn't measure though) didn't think it would hurt raising oil level that much.
