    Serviceable Lock Out Hubs

Questions for anyone that has ordered the kit: Have you received it yet? When did you place your order? Thanks, Joe

Best price on Class V - Reese Titan, Curt Magnum V or Valley Power Pull

Rob, I have a Putnam XDR on my '02 2500 (regular cab/8' bed/4x4/CTD). It is all welded construction and very well built. It is a "no drill" installation. If you get one, be sure to use the propper ball and mount (solid steel mount and 10K+ ball). I have pulled some heavy (14K/1,500 TW) loads...

    Serviceable Lock Out Hubs

Randy, I ordered my kit at the end of August. I don't know where I stand on the list as of now. I dealt with Robert and Steve. Thanks for putting this buy together! Joe

    Serviceable Lock Out Hubs

I ordered my kit from Robert this past week. :) It is my understanding that the late '02 Rams don't have an axle disconnect at all, that is why everything in the axle is always turning when you drive. Joe Note: My truck was built in February 2002 and has no axle disconnect.

    Group Buy Lock Out Hubs

Craig, In the case of my '02 2500 there are several obvious advantages that I can see: 1) I will remove some wear and tear from my front end by running with the hubs in freewheel ( I don't have a CAD ). 2) I will be able to access 2-wheel low in order to move trailers without having...

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Will '02 long bed hitch fit an '01 short bed?

Does anyone know if the factory receiver hitch from a 2002 Regular cab, Long bed, 4x4 will fit a 2001 Quad cab, Short bed 2x4? Bolt on installation or some drilling required? Thanks in advance, Joe

    2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission No Rancho 9000 shocks?

Rancho 9000 shocks I think the shocks are the same on my '02 ( 2500/4x4/Towing pkg/Plow prep/CTD/Camper pkg). I recently purchased 2 p/n RS99221 and 2 p/n RS99274 shocks, not shure which are fronts and which are rears. Hope this helps. Joe

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Spicer Ball joints good or junk???

You might also want to check on MOOG parts (I believe that they make most of Carquest's suspension parts). I have always liked the quality of their parts and had great service from them. Joe

Too those that have remote oil filters

Hammersley, I don't have a picture, but I can tell you that the oil drains straight down into a drain pan when you slightly unscrew the filter. After it is done draining, finish unscrewing the filter and install a new one -- absolutely no mess at all. The oil filter is parallel to the front...

Where can I get a Putnam hitch for a good price?

Peter, Try http://Southwestwheel.com I have always had great service from them and great prices. Click on the Putnam hitches box on the screen. I believe the model you are looking for is a PU25211 XDR hitch. It is rated for 15,000# Weight Carrying/16,000# Weight Distribution/1,700# Tongue...

Too those that have remote oil filters

I have the City Diesel remote mount oil filter kit installed on my '02 CTD and feel it is one of the best modifications I have done. The kit is very well designed and is made of high quality materials. An added bonus is that it uses factory filters and makes oil changes a breeze. Check it out at...

Help with new Jordan wiring - I got trouble

Walker, Try checking this link out http://www.bestbrakecontroller.com/troubleShoot.html I'm not sure how to tell if a controller is bad, but they might be able to help you. You could also try contacting Jordan Research directly. The toll free help number in my Jordan book is...

Help with new Jordan wiring - I got trouble

WestTN, A Jordan controller doesn't use a "brake sense" wire. The connections are as follows: 1) Blue wire to trailer brakes 2) White wire to battery ground 3) Red wire to battery positive 4) Control cable (nonelectrical) to brake pedal arm bracket The wire colors are the...

Help with new Jordan wiring - I got trouble

Walker, Have you visually checked or used a meter to verify that the tow vehicle and trailer plugs are wired properly? Just a thought. From your first post it sounds like you have the controller wired correctly. Does your control cable move easily or is it possibly hanging up and...

    2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Marker Light Add-Ons

Silver Ram, When I put the light kit on my '02 I used the template to mark the roof for drilling (hardest part is getting the nerve to drill the first hole!!). I now know that all of the holes are basically marked on the inside -- the inner piece of metal in my roof was prepunched for cab...

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission squeakey overload springs

Ramman, On my '98 Quad Cab I had the same problem. Get some of the blue silicone wheel bearing grease for boat trailers. Jack the truck up by the frame to relieve the suspension and smear some of the grease on the spring to spring contact points. I did this to my '98 and it is still quiet as...

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission What do you like about your 2nd generation truck, compared to the 3rd?

I prefer the body style of my '02 over the 3rd gens. The 2nd gens hit the styling right on the nose, then they went and screwed it up with the 3rd gens ( general proportions not as smoothh ). This is the reason that I bought my '02 as soon as I saw the new ugly '03s. I also prefer to hear the...

    cargo trailers

Mike, I currently have a Pace 6' x 12' enclosed cargo trailer, I would suggest torsion type suspension as opposed to leaf spring suspension for the superior ride. I don't have any problem with items being bounced around like my previous leaf sprung trailer, and it will tow very smoothly. Joe

    2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission 1998 Ram colors

My '98 was "Intense Blue" with "Driftwood" lower body color. I think that was one of the best color combinations ever on the 2nd Gen trucks. Joe
