I have the same problem, but you say a factory thermostat helps the most. By factory do you mean Mopar or Cummins?

Check the width on the Toyos, I know the Cooper will work without spacers. I guess if you have the spacers on it wont matter. As far as paying the extra, i like the Coopers more than the Toyos. Just my 2 cents
