I saw a pitcure of a 12 valve ctd with a cone air filter bolted right to the turbo housing. It looked trick. Does anyone have opinions about this? Would heat be a factor for the filter itself, or heat from being closer to the engine? Just curious.

BD sells a KDP kit. It includes a tab kit and new main seal with instructions. It's $99. 00. After reading the instructions, I paid my local diesel performance shop to do it.

My truck smoked the stock transmission. My local diesel performance shop sells and installs BD trannys. I trust them, but I thought I had read a thread on someone having bad luck with BD. Does anyone have a BD? Likes, dislikes?

When you say the front of the turbo, do you mean the front in refrence to the front of the truck? Say if I where looking at the engine from the front?

I put on an AFE filter. When I removed the stock air box and hoses did I remove the silencer ring? If I didnt, where is it?

Seems like people talk highly of the DDP injectors, and talk is mediorcre on the Bosch injectors. DDP are more expensive! It also seems like most people run with Bosch? Has anyone ever went from Bosch to DDP in the same HP range? Or vise versa?

No its not a gas motor. 1997 12v. It did ping. I dont know why, but it went away after putting erg back on???? I have no idea what caused it. It sounded just like a gas motor ping.

When I capped off my egr my engine light came on, and my truck pinged. It was annoying and sounded bad. I did not notice any difference in performance. I uncapped it and put stock egr back on. 1997 12v.

I'm looking for advise on bosch injectors for my 1997 12 valve. I have stock injectors now. I'm looking to upgrade for more power. Can people share goods/bads/heat/smoke? What would be a good h. p. injector to buy? I have upgraded intake, banks quick turbo, fuel plate, trans lock up, guages, 4"...

Just like Joe says above, I had this problem. I never found the cause after looking at multiple things. It got so bad that if I used my a/c and came to a stop, the engine would die. It was idling that low. My local Dodge dealer had it fixed in about 1/2 hour. It was a worn screw at the idle.

Thanks Jeff. Can you shed some light on stock, moderate, and huge lb/sec. numbers for turbos? Can I assume that larger lb/sec means bigger turbos which equals longer spool up time or turbo lag off the bottom? Thank you.

I'm new to TDR. I was looking for advise on after market turbos. I'm looking at a BD Super B. My truck puts out 32 psi boost now. Looking for a little more. Thanks for any advise/experiences you can give.
