    Valve lash adjustment cost

I'd have to say between 4 - 6 hrs @ $175 an hour in my area! It's not that bad of a task to do. I checked mine around that 150K time frame. Was still in spec and will revisit again around 300K. With all you've done on your trucks, this should be well within your wheelhouse! I try to...

    AC condenser coating

Other then getting it anodized, just keep it clean. Millions of miles have been racked up on condensers without issue. Sometimes it's hard to see the debris that can collect on the stack out front! A good clean in the fall before winter hits, and then again in the spring to clean out from the...

    P0735

Welcome to what happens when you do customization to a truck! When you start down the road of oversize tires or wider rims, it affects the strain on the drive line and suspension. These trucks will tow "heavy", until you change to "far" away from the stock setups. The larger tire sizes...

    4th gen Diesel/Gas truck differences

You'll need more than just an engine. You would basically need two trucks of the same gen to do the swap. You'll need engine, wiring, all modules, transmission, drive train and suspension components! Then you'd have all the time involved with swapping over. Unless you were given both trucks...

    Lower control arms

The short bed to long bed makes a huge difference on ride quality! My 01 gasser is a short bed, and is a rougher ride compared to my 12 long bed dually. The only way to help the 01, is to add a few hundred pounds in the bed against the tailgate, but still not the same. A longer wheelbase has...

    U101C question

I would check wiring, but be prepared for parts possibly needing replacement. How many hours combined on the truck? How many miles? What series truck? 2500/3500? You could be at the start of a turbo actuator. Keep a watch on boost and EB levels. If they start to lower on drives that they were...

Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Are bypass oil filters really worth having?

@JeepBuilder, No photos being shown. I just upload straight from phone or computer without issue. Sometimes just email to myself and upload from PC, which is easier. That would bother me about how you say the nipple was attached to housing! I use an oil filter adapter on my setup. Had a...

Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Are bypass oil filters really worth having?

I know with the bypass system on my truck, the oil doesn't stay it's amber color after start up. Which I know is due to the newer oils holding the soot in suspension, but I do notice that it had a "slicker" feel to it then before I added the bypass. Maybe due to the extra oil that's in the...

    2025 Ram 2500/3500 6.7 Cummins

Just throwing this out there, wouldn't it be in the best interest of the selling dealer, on the PDI (Pre-Deliverary Inspection) to hook up to computer and update all software? Seeing how the systems arrive and installed could have base line software on them. The least that would need to be done...

2018 Aisin Torque Converter Lockup Switch?

That's way past the schedule for a drain. Transmissions are very finicky about fluid changes! To many components in a trans to not follow the recommendations on fluid change. The following is a cautionary tale to not do trans flushes: I found that "flushing" a trans (not my trucks), isn't a...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 21 gallons at 59.52 a gallon

I do once a year or 15k, whichever comes first.

    Service before Major trip

The check was for allowing a company to run some diagnostic on your truck after the 67A.

Need Advice: Towing I-70 westbound out of Denver

@DaveHess, So very true! But that sense of comfort and security is "priceless"!

    upgraded....every thing

@RWherley, After thinking about this, a nice epoxy paint would seal it up nicely! Keep up the good work!

Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Are bypass oil filters really worth having?

You could just run 2 stock filters and change out the "bypass" one every other oil change. The extra oil capacity can help with cooling on hard pulls. I have the dual setup on my truck for extra capacity. I use the Amsoil adapter with 1/2" hydraulic hoses. Have it mounted to the frame under...

Need Advice: Towing I-70 westbound out of Denver

I can say, I would add exhaust brake to the truck. Makes towing a much nicer ride! The DW will be much happier with it, especially with you being at the numbers that you will be towing at. Makes the downhill decent smooth and comfortable. I know that the truck is capable without it, but why...

Nice work! Remember to clean and get a good coat of something on that metal. I would also put some sound/heat insulation underneath also!

    Service before Major trip

@Grumpy8811, You're wrong about the extended warranty coverage! It's 4yr or 48k after the recall! I had over 170k when mine was done. Read the details on the 67A! Yes, there can be some hiccups with the 67A. I had to wait for a replacement SCR and Nox sensor as they update showed them out of...

    Service before Major trip

I can agree with @Cummins12V98 about the recall! No proformance difference between before or after the 67A recall. Well worth getting done and the extra warranty helps. The goodie pack is pretty nice! Wish hat wasn't black.
