2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Rusted Through Brake Lines? Anyone Else?

I just cut the old one out and routed the new line in a more convenient spot. Don't remember if I was able to fish the old line out or not. Almost a year now, and still 100% satisfied w/ the Cunifer lines.

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Hard brake line / fittings sizes

Let me hunt around, I wrote up what I did in a fair amount of detail. I just switched computers here at work, so I have it on 1 of 3 computers, just have to figure out which!

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Rusted Through Brake Lines? Anyone Else?

Here's the thread I started on those back in November: https://www.turbodieselregister.com/forums/showthread.php?t=171172 6 months later, I am 100% satisfied with those lines. They continue to work great and have had no leaks or anything. Now that the winter and snow/salt season is over, I...

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Hard brake line / fittings sizes

Update for the couple of you following along here - I got all the supplies for doing the brake lines the day before Thanksgiving. The day after T-day, I rolled out to the truck and started in on the new brake lines. 2 days later, they were installed, bled, and 100% functioning. I ended up...

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Hard brake line / fittings sizes

Planning on doing it this weekend, I'll let you know how it goes. (Apparently we're the only ones that find this interesting right now... :) )

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Hard brake line / fittings sizes

We'll see what happens. I talked to the guy yesterday and ordered everything. Apparently this stuff you don't even need a tube bender, you can bend it by hand to a radius as small as your finger! They're also sending some fancy flaring tool that I get to rent for 2 weekends that has all the...

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Hard brake line / fittings sizes

Yeah, I saw your thread as I was starting to try and figure out what I was going to do. Misery loves company I suppose. I definitely can't wait around for 2 months to get pre-bent lines (especially ones that don't fit!), so I guess I'm going to learn how to fabricate brake lines...

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Hard brake line / fittings sizes

Don't post here much, but always learn a lot when I need to figure sumthin out... Was replacing my brakes today and putting on some new SS lines from the caliper to the hard lines, and despite a liberal application of PB Blaster, the hard line nut was rusted to itself, and I ended up...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Vacuum pump reseal kit PN?

Don't get on here much, but anytime I have a problem, I always know where to go first! I've been leaking oil for the past few months, so busy that I haven't had a chance to fix it right, but now I've got some time to do that. It looks like it's the vacuum pump seal that's leaking, so I'm...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) MD dealer for warranty work?

Thanks for the info. I ended up stopping by Cummins last night and picking up the O-ring, I'll install it myself and hope that fixes it. I was going to flush the coolant within the next 5k anyway. If not, I'll give Herb Gordon a try. $100 warranty deductible? Is that right? I've never...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) MD dealer for warranty work?

I did a search, but couldn't find anything. Anyone recommend a dealer in the Baltimore/Washington area to take the truck in for warranty? I'd like to just take it to Cummins over in Glen Burnie, but can I do that? I've got 42k miles, and the water pump seal seems to be failing :{ Frankly...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Mystery leak/drip

I was out flushing my PS fluid this weekend, and I discovered a very small coming from the passenger side, right at the front of the block where the oil pan bolts to the block. If you're staring up at it, the corner of the oil pan is curved but the block has a 90 degree corner to it. It is...

    Which trailer hitch

Oops Doh! Forgot about the towing forum, I'll repost there.

    Which trailer hitch

Ok, so for some unknown reason, when I ordered the Beast, I failed to get the trailer towing package. I guess because at the time I really wasn't thinking I'd be towing stuff. Of course, that went out the window pretty quick. So, what's the best hitch to get? The Mopar one, or are there...
