I wouldn't worry a lot about the isolator breaking. If it did the positive FP would push fuel into your gauge. If it did back flow it would be so diluted by the fuel it would still burn off. I have normally had 18-20 pulling hard with stock turbo. I put a BHAF on and BAM 22psi. . You may have a restriction caused by your air filter plugged up. If you can't suck the air in you won't get the boost. Same senario if you have a restriction in the exhaust also. As I've read here, wriiten...
