    JCWhintey Springs

i installed a set of heavy duty 3/4 ton springs from JC Whitney on my '88 half ton. They have lasted fairly well, about 3 and a half years now. I would not use them under a diesel though. Too much wieght, the front end of my 88(318) and alot of snow plowing flatens out the springs, which was to...

    Fuel mileage good/bad?

my 12 valve, 1997, allmost allways averages out to be 20. I winter a little less, about 17-18. But highway, and around town right around 20, when filling, the first time the pump stops is usually exactly on 20 mpg. Kinda strange but im happy with it. Cousing and uncles first gens, if pushing...

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Stuck on Defrost?????

Happened on my 97, it was just a vaccum hose that fell of under the hood, luckily it was out in the open. I'd starts by checking all the easily accessiable vaccum lines, then go from there. good luck

    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Wierd Shifting Cold Auto

thanks for the info guys, i have 4:10's and its seems do do it the most between 30 and 40, like you said. But sometimes even over 40, when the truck is around 2000 rpm's, so its not that it is being bogged down enough to want to shift. Could it be just cold fluid and torque converter. I know...

    2wd in snow????

2wd in snow If the truck your looking at is a standard that is allways a plus for the snow. With those standards you can under power the rear wheels, and allmost allways get traction. Not allways great for the ole transmission, but it gets the job done! The mighty cummins has so much torque, they...
