man, woke up this morning and it was in the low 30's..... brrrrrr. might even get a freeze in the next week or so. might have to stay home, inside. too dang cold to funtion.

no really just poking fun at you northern boys, i don't know how ya'll operate in weather like that. i mean sure we get hurricanes but we just pack up and run like hell :( . can't do that with cold.

I know what you mean, my body man called yesterday and said my paint is on hold until he can get his shop warmed up..... on the island!!

I'm sooooo gellin'! :-laf

But my fuel isn't.

It's still snowing here... probably got another hour of it. Looks like about 8 to 9 inches.

Will be good test of the studded snows for the ride home.

Hey DSteimle... get on yer horse and git up here... I'll teach you how to run a snowblower... . :-laf

only if you promise to come down here when the wind picks up :-laf

do ya'll actually have to move snow every morning just to go to work? i don't think i could handle it.

Runin'

Hey Daryl... ... ... ... we can run from the cold. I do it at least once and if the money allows maybe twice in a 5 month stretch. It warms up after a 16 hour drive south.

This will be my second winter with the diesel and I have had no gelling issues (knock on wood). And I live in an area they call Winterpeg. :-laf Winter has set in, but the worst/coldest is yet to come.

The rocker panels on my truck are 21" above the ground. If it gets that deep. I don't need to go anywhere that bad.

I don't shove snow to go to work. :-laf :-laf

I was shoveling snow @ 0535 today, 22°F. Gotta love it. The woodburner keeps the home at 80° or better and then to go out of doors right after crawling out of bed is something you have to develop a taste for.

Hi Philip!

down here everyone says "yeah but they don't have our summer hear" and i believed that until we raced at atco NJ in august a couple years back. that might have been the hottest place i've ever been.

anyone making a snowbird run through here drop me a line and i'll show you around what's left of the place. be prepared to eat too

I grew up in Ohio and back then I think we had even more cold and snow than they do now so I can relate to the cold. :( I have to laugh every time it is going to get around freezing here they start with the cold weather warnings, opening cold weather shelters, bring in the pets, check on the elderly and so on, heck they don't know what cold is. :-laf But I do and that is why I will stay here and watch the snow on the news. :D

Greetings from central Mexico! We had an "Artic Blast" hit today... it only got up to 67*! Low last night was a chilly 42*! Tomorrow is to be back up to 72*... that is more like it!

For Christmas I will be down in southern Mexico on the border of Guatamala. The overnight lows for Christmas and New Years Day are usually in the low to mid 70s with daytime highs in the 80s-90s!

I lived in Illinois the first 34 years of my life. You guys can HAVE the cold and snow!!! I don't miss it a bit!!!

Not every morning... . LOL

We ended up getting 12 inches of the white stuff. Had to park on the street till I got the driveway cleared ... no way I'd get thru the mess left by the snowplows.

Took me about an hour and a half to get things cleared out.

My 1st Gen started up at -38 degrees after sitting for 8 hours at work last year, no gel problems just ran like an old detroit 2 stroke for about 10 sec. right now were having some pretty good weather it's around 30 and the snow is melting off a little but when the temps start to drop again it's not gonna be good i can see the cars all over the road already.

Snow, we don't need no stinkin' snow

This is a pic of last year, I hope we don't get as much this year. It's pretty mild right now, but it was like this last year up until a week before Christmas.

Snow

Not to make light of the devastation that the people in the south have gone through, but at least we can shovel this stuff. Snow that is!!!

In Maine, fired up the cummins @ 16 degrees a littel after 6:00 am to go to work, not plugged in. Cycle'em twice, and light the coal fires!!!! Shees still not plugges in, haven't found a spot yet (in college currently)but still fires up all the time!! gotta love the Cummins
