Marco, is there anything you can do for the p1740 transmission code? Lack of RPM drop when the T/C locks most common when running a tighter then stock convertor. Seems that it should be possible. Dj

I would say thats a stretch 06's have a TV motor on the side of the trans thats how they get more line pressure off the bottom in tow haul mode. That is the only thing that makes the trans hold better than an 05. Personally I would rather have an 05 without the TV motor, for reliablity reasons.

FWIW I have seen quite a few 06 48re's with less than 10,000 mi on them, (including my shop's 06 with very little towing and 7000mi) with the thrust washers showing extreme amount's of wear. These transmissions with no engine or transmission mods will burn the drive clutches towing 10,000# and...

I run it on my sled pulling truck... works ok but would be pain in the butt on a daily driver... having to fill up the reservoir all the time why not just add more fuel and air for more power whenever u want it? IMOP its good for someone that needs to knock down egts a bit for racing or sledpulling.

you need to hook up the rail pressure sensor on the tst, assuming u have the R49AP? it sounds like you have an auto in the truck they seem to drain the rail easier, Try setting 2 on the rail pressure level, 3-4 power level and 2-3 on the torque, that should be about the most you can run with the...
