Ok guys my bro-inlaw is gettin a Juice with Attitude for his 00', my question is his truck is bone stock(im mean bone stock) except a crappy muffler delete that has some bad kinks in it(dont even think the delete is 3"), what kinda egts is he gonna be seein with this thing, i told him to open that exhaust to 4" and he just looked at me like i was crazy and said what 3" is not enough, and i said no and he changed the subject! Truck is and auto.

That truck will hit the defuel temp (1250 or 1350 I think) with just a chip and no air flow mods. Tell him that he needs to get an upgraded intake whether it be made or bought. At least a good single 4 inch exhaust. A good lift pump assembly is a must as well, Either add a good pusher pump or go with an after market setup like FASS, Rasp, Airdog, or Glacier. Then get that chip, and even think about a valve body and Torque converter. Then he and his truck will be all:cool:

He can run it with the stock exhaust. He should upgrade his fuel lift pump before any power adders or he will burn up a vp44. The stock transmission will slip on the higher settings without mods too. I have a friend with a 98. 5 automatic with a edge comp & he has the valve body upgrade & still slips on any settings above 2x3.

He doesn't need to worry about the transmission so much, the Juice defuels when it detects transmission slippage. I would definitely upgrade the exhaust though, especially if the muffler delete is not even 3" or is badly kinked. And as stated earlier, the intake side and the lift pump need upgrading. He can go with a drop in airfilter, Afe or Amsoil Ea, but I would suggest a cone filter with some type of cold air kit. Any of the lift pump options stated earlier would be a good choice, but the pusher pump set up has some inherent problems with it, so stick with the aftermarket units.

Fellas thanks for the info, i told him all of this but dosent seem to want to listen so im gonna get him to read your replys! I think he just wants to install and go fast! So again thanks for the replys fellas!:)

Also tell him he won't get the full advertised increase without the other mods, in fact, Edge even states that intake and exhaust mods are required when installing the Juice or any of thier other products.
