I've experienced a somewhat unusual problem with the wife-and-my new truck. For two or three days after raining, I can still see water dripping from the cab's rear driver's side corner. I had a '97 Club Cab and never had this problem. The truck sits in our driveway, which has about a 10-degree incline. and I would think any water accumulated behind sheet metal would drain pretty quickly. Has anyone else experienced this, and does anyone know if there's a particular place on the Quad Cabs that holds water? This truck's only a few weeks old and I hate to be thinking of rust already.

Did you pull the plugs from underneath the doors? They are oval shaped and according to an old TDR mag they should be pulled so the doors can drain if water gets in there.

Thanks for the speedy reply Steve:

I did not pull the plugs, thinking that they'd allow more water to enter than they would allow to leave. But, thinking again, pulling them in the warm weather months (I live in Minnesota) might aid evaporation of the water if not allowing it to drip out. Thanks

snowdog , seems like leaking quadcabs is not uncommon , take it in , i have the same problem , i'm going to pull out the rear seat and such to find it before i take it in ... mines a 4 month old 2000

The third brake light leaks on mine. The dealer told me that they only work on water probs on mondays??? I`m in Saginaw,MI. on mondays!! (I live in Indiana. ) Just LOVE that good ole DC service!!!

Truckman:

Yeah, that's DC customer service at its finest. Do you mean to say that water emanates from the third brake light or that water enters there? One more thing: do you know what the backspacing is on your AR Baja wheels? I'd like to replace the factory aluminums but I'd like to keep a similar backspacing as stock. Thanks.
