Thanks, thats what the service manual calls it. I still have not received the FCA from Geno's yet, I hope it gets here tomorrow. If I remove the banjo bolt from the PRV wont there be a lot of pressure there?

There should be no pressure there. If anything, you might find a drop of fuel down in there. I used a lint free rag to dry it out before i started it to determine if it was leaking by, you should get no fuel to maybe a drop at shut down when the RP spikes. The business card is to keep fuel from spraying everywhere (i think that was his reasoning) in the event fuel does come out.

I installed the new FCA and the truck still wont start. I took the banjo bolt out of the PRV and did the buisness card trick and no fuel came out of the valve. Before I changed the filter the truck would idle and not accelerate. I change the fuel filter and then the truck wont start. I used the scan tool and there are no codes. The truck cranks and sounds like it is trying to start but does not. I gave it a whiff of ether but it did not help it to start. Do you think its not building pressure and the ECM wont let it start? If it was a crank or cam sensor would it give these symptoms? Iam lost.

Spoke with Todd at T&C Diesel and he had me try a few things to rule out the CP3. Well it seems I need an injector pump, darn thing wont build any pressure. Will order a pump from Todd , real nice guy and very knowledgeable about our Dodges. Thanks everyone for your help , special thanks to T&C Diesel for everything. Will post the results when the new pump is installed. Charlie.

CP3 arrived on monday from T&C Diesel along with a gear puller and barring tool for the install. Installed the pump today along with a new PRV that Todd sent with the pump. Truck is now up and running. Thanks to everyone for the advice. Special thanks to Todd at T&C , great guy and I would not hesitate to do buisness with him again. Todd I will send the core and your tools out ASAP. Thanks again! Charlie.

So one min it works the next it fails? Sounds a little stragne to me.

:-laf I wish I had a nickle for everytime a customer has said that. I would have retired a young man.

One minute my NV 4500 was fine... ... ..... the next minute 3rd gear was broken... ... ... ... . pesky torque

T & C took care of me a year ago on a couple issues. Long story but just after getting the truck on the road I was 3 states away pulling overloaded (cuz it aint loaded unless its overloaded) and was having a different issue- called Todd, he told me "this is whats going on ... ... . set smarty here-edge there and call me when your on the road and tell me how great its pulling". Let me say that 5 minutes of free advice had me grinning ear to ear, and he called me back before I got back to him, "just to be sure all was good". I have said it before, Todd is the man and T & C will always be my #1 choice for parts and service. Its easy to find parts but it is not easy to find expert advice from someone who cares. Hopefully others will patronize T&C as well , we need these guys around for the long haul ! Sorry to hi-jack the thread, but your problem was similar to mine and had to throw that out there.
