03 vs 04 factory seat cover question

I have a 04. 5 quad cab with factory power leather seats. I don't like leather very much, and I just came across a complete set of taupe (light gray) cloth seat covers out of a 03 2500 truck. My questions: are the 03 cloth seat covers the same seat covers that the 04 would have if it had cloth seats (pattern and color?) Can I just remove the leather seat covers off my seats and install the cloth covers from the 03? Thanks in advance for any information!

Sorry, I don't know the answer to your question, BUT if it works for you and you want to sell your leather covers, I would be interested. You can PM with details, I am not in any rush, but I am curious as to why you DON'T like your leather seats?? Maybe we could even trade the charcoal grey clothe seats I have on my 2005 for your leather, if the 2003 covers you have don't fit. Mine are in excellent condition.

The rear seats of '04 trucks have headrests, but the '03 trucks did not. Also make sure the rear seat layouts are the same. Most trucks have a split rear seat, but some others have a full bench.

I want to add the rear headrests to my '03, so I've been trying to find a used rear seat from an '04. I bought a complete set of OEM taupe seat covers on eBay from an '04 to replace mine once I find a seat.

For what it's worth I don't like leather either. Too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. Yeh I know it's got heated seats but there are still cold till they warm up and the kids freeze in the back. Shadrach

Thanks for all the replies!! The reason that I don't like the leather is they are very uncomfortable after about a 1 hour drive. My friend has the exact same truck with cloth seats, and it is so much more comfortable to ride in. I bought the cloth seat covers from the 03, they should get here this week. Any idea where I can get some rear headrest covers to match the 03 cloth covers? My truck has the rear headrests. Thanks!
