Modified Fuel Rails?

Need some help, today 03 was running fine, drove it about 80 miles, stopped at bank for half hour and it wont start. Does not fire at all. The only code is 0633---skim key code. not sure what that means. Any advice??? Truck has 104,000 miles and ran great before.

I get the skim key code pretty regular, but it has never not started for me. My Smarty doesn't see it, but the dealer scanner picks it up.

Good chance that there is a problem with the key/skim thingy. Do you have another key that you could try? Maybe the chip in the key went bad. Dealer can reprogram another one by using your VIN, but it's pricey.

Temp was about 45 so i dont think fuel was problem. I have aftermarket remote starter and the company is coming out thurs, to re wire. they had some trouble early on with the way they wired.

wanted to let everyone know that it ened up being our fuel pressure relief valve that went bad. Unfortunately it was still a $450 part.

Oh great, 'fuel pressure relief valve'... something else to worry about. Good thing I'm already old or I wouldn't have made it this far!

Thanks for the heads up!

Ha, Ha, ha, ROFL

I think someone has taken theirs apart and shimmed the spring for higher pressure.

$450 :--) is a ripoff, considering what it is. Maybe we need a $45 Chinese replacement. Cummins has a factory in India, and maybe even China, so that's where these probably come from anyway.

I wonder if these fit our rail?

I've had a $2. 00 vw lug bolt, capping my fuel pressure relief valve for the last 2 years and 50,000 miles, have not had a problem, and alot cheaper than $450 dollars.
