Hey guys my clutch safety switch is going south. I have to bring the clutch pedal about 1/2" up to get the starter to engage. I did a search and found info on the 2nd gens clutch switch part # 53007944AB just curious if the 3rd gens uses the same clutch switch. Looks like an easy fix. Probably order online my Dodge Dealer shut the doors a couple months back.

Looks like it is the same part. Found it at wermopar.com for 58. 29. Has anyone had any luck fixing one or is it best to just go ahead and replace?

mine was not starting, and i went to the dealer to order a new one. until i saw the price, i think it was around 300. so i was going to bypass it but when i got under there it just needed to be adjusted off the pedal. so you might play with that an see it it works maybe save you a . couple of bucks

Thanks DFairhurst did not know they were adjustable I will take a look see.

A couple years back I ran into an RV Store to grab a part while my dad waited in the truck. He came into the store a little while later and told me he had gotten warm but something was wrong with the truck. He had reached across and tried to start it but nothing happened. I looked at him and said its a standard you have to push the clutch in. His mouth just fell open as he said oh me.

I had thought about wiring around the clutch switch but if I had in this instance I'm sure my DRW 3500 would of damaged a few RV's in the lot.
