My mostly stock 04 quit on the road. I'm assuming the fuel liftpump quit: 90k miles, and I can't hear the pump run when I turn the ignition on. Is this an accurate assumption? If so, is there an article describing replacment?

The temp is cool but its never had trouble at 0 F.

The fuel should be fine, Im' half way thru a fiill-up

I couldn't find this in FAQs-am I an Idiot?

I'm thinking that if you can hear the pump run then it should be OK. It's the motor that dies. Are you sure it's the fuel pump you hear and not a vacuum pump (assuming it an automatic)?

If you have the stock canister mount pump it has probably failed. The dealer will replace it with a in tank pump . You should be covered under the 100k engine warranty and don't pay the 50. 00 or Geno's has a replacement unit
