I have a local NAPA getting in a Stant 180 degree SuperStat 45478 for a 440 Big Block. Dimensions I found online are 2. 5" x 29/32" x 29/32". NAPA has the Cummins replacement in stock as well as the gaskets sold separately. We're going to compare the two side by side to see if the SuperStat might fit. I've found posts on other forums that suggest other hotter thermostats also for Big Block Mopar engines that will fit the 2nd Generation Cummins B Series.

NAPA also carries a 190 degree SuperStat THM352090. My truck is very heavy and tows heavy so I'm still more interested in the 180. Even with my engine coolant at only 140 degrees I get 120 degrees at the vents inside the cab. However with temps now in the 20s my coolant is barely over 100 degrees even after an hour and a half of highway driving.

I'm hoping a SuperStat will work because from what I've read they are the best built thermostats on the market. My local Cummins and Dodge dealers were out of thermostats and gaskets. Local in St. Louis, MO for me is an hour and a half drive each way, NAPA is only a half hour drive. I hope to know more tomorrow.
