Horns quit working on my 06 2500 with 35k miles. Fuse box lid doesn't mention a horn fuse. All fuses check okay. Pulled LF headlight and no power to the twin horns when asking from steering wheel.*
Known problem? Relay? Secret fuse? Thanks for you help

As you just found out, there is no horn fuse on a 2006. Instead, the horn on your truck is controlled by the BCM (body control module) which I believe is actually a part of the gauge cluster. Unplugging the batteries for approximately 10 minutes will force the ECU, TIPM as well as BCM and other relay modules into a "hard reset" to factory parameters that MIGHT fix your problem. I would try that first and then report back.

And all that being said, if it is ONLY your horn that is not working, it is NOT the clockspring in your steering wheel. BUt if also the cruise control is not working, then it likely IS the clockspring.

Okay, appreciate the feedback guys. Since last update I've ....
1) Hit panic button and horns blast okay.
2) Remembered truck was in for airbag recall check at dealer.
3) It's possible I have not tested the horn since airbag recall. Clockspring not hooked up after recall?
4) Only thing not working is horn from steering wheel. Cruise/lights and everything else okay.
5) Will give the hard reset a try as suggested by Seafish
Might be a few days to a week before I can post an update, but any new feedback is welcome!

Not the clockspring if other steering wheel controls work, but it sounds like maybe they didn't hook up the wire to the horn button!!!

If the battery disconnect doesn;t work, (which seems less liekly now that it will given the addtional info) then I woudld simply go back to the dealership and explain thatyou haven't had a working horn since they did the work and let them figure it out....

On my 01 my horn started working intermittently than not at all. I thought I was going to have to replace the horn assembly on the steering wheel (as my panic alarm worked fine as did the horn chirp when locking worked). While looking at figuring out how to get it apart I was looking at the wires coming up the steering column to try and find the horn wires in the bundle. Low and behold the horn wire was on the outside layer of the bundle I am thinking great will be relatively easy to test to verify if it is the horn switch assembly on the steering wheel. After just a couple seconds of fiddling with it to sort of separate it from the herd I found right at the crick of where it pivots when you use the tilt steering the wire was broken. I was able to splice it back together and has worked fine for the last several years. I did not notice any other wires in that area that were in the same condition.

My 05 horn switch disintegrated when they changed out the airbag this Spring. Sadly, dealer did not advise/fix it until I discovered the horns would not work and checked fuses, etc. So I took it back to the dealer and they discovered the Tech noticed it, but for whatever unknown no one thought they should advise me or fix it - even at my own expense. What dealer doesn't want to sell you more service???? Anyhow it took a few days to get the correct part and they installed it for free...so all was good in the end.

Okay! In April truck was at dealer for airbag recall check. I removed the 2 10mm bolts holding the bag to the steering wheel and lifted the bag out a few inches.*
Dealer tech left the horn wire disconnected. Landed that wire and horn pad working fine. Thanks to all in thread who pitched in their 2 cents!
