I am sure you guys already know about this site but I will post it anyway. Looks like they are doing the same thing.

yogafist guy needs an education on fordcummins.com

When I used to work for Kenny, I remember the calls and emails every day from guys screaming about his rotten mounts etc that have to be thrown in the trash ( he has a NO RETURN policy which we would NEVER do!!) and reordered from Kenny in the end, its just SICKENING and he's a preacher!!!????

fyi, Fordcummins.com (roger) ordered his first set of mounts (which he copied of course-musta lost the correct pattern over the last 2 years) on JAN 3, 2002 - boy those three years of "experience" has made him an expert-huh???

Dawna,

Think you and Kenny really need to address this issue on here, it is only looked at from others like I have a bad attitude towards your "competition", unfortunately, it isn't doing anything to help the customers or prospective buyers who look at my posts as just ranting. A confirmation here about your past knowledge of this subject may be needed to put this to rest once and for all.

I'm getting slammed off forum by a few people over this, could I care? not really, not in the least. I do think more than anything, a reality check to those who don't know the history on this is in order from you or Kenny. Not for the sake of throwing mud, but for the truth of what has set me off from the day I read TDR posts on this for the first time. I remember vividly the customers in your shop asking for help after starting with roger's "advice" and parts.

To those here in the repower forum who doubt the truth of this, feel free to give Dawna or Kenny a call. I'm sure off forum, you'll get lots of referals from customers who asked for their help half way through their projects when nothing was done "elsewhere". I know for a FACT they have invoices to back it up.

Looking forward to seeing your work on this f-550 project, any pics soon?... .

I think eventually, the archived posts on this will eliminate any more of it. I would have let this go, but I have never posted actual reasons before. Its one of the reasons so many have been slamming me off forum so far. So now there are some reasons here to help others know why I haven't backed down so easy from it.

At least Kenny and Dawna are a part of TDR now to offer their side of the story themselves, or at least show off their work from decades gone by.

the F550 arrives tomorrow nite. - as dave says above, we have been doing this since 1988 - we are into #203 when the ford arrives tomorrow. we guarantee our products and our work, feel free to ask for references. our phone # is on our site for anyone needing advice - we are always happy to help.

Out of shear need to actually profit and succeed as a legitimate LEGAL small business without the use of illegal labor or kissing the CARB division's backside to get their "referee's to endorce the repowers, I doubt your "hint" will ever be given a second thought.

Besides, Dawna and Ken have far too much pride in their business and workmanship to subject themselves to california's legalized small business extortion. Montana is becoming a colony of Calfornia as it is now. You'll be immigrating to MT soon too I bet, (if you can actually own a fossil fuel powered vehicle of any make in the next few years to escape). :-laf
That's funny 'cause I'm really trying to convence my wife into leaving this ****ty state for some of the exact reasons you've already mentioned. If it wasn't for her family living here I'd be gone in a second. I've herd that only 13% of Californians can actually afford to live here.

203 conversions :--) that is insane but COOL at the same time.

Wow, sorry. I certainly didn’t intend for you to get your panties in a bunch. I only posted this site because I stumbled onto it and thought it was novel. In the future I will try to submit all my intended posts for your review and advance approval. I would hate to post another reply that would cause you so much consternation to simply scroll past.

I would rather go for a 4500/5500 Dodge. Have you seen the fit and finish of a ford lately :{

I'll take it a step further on dream set ups how does this sound.

_H2 body and chassis.

_05 CR Cummins 325/610 with NV5600.

_Same transfer case as the 3500 4WD's.

_Dana 80 with Discs in the rear, and a Dana 60 (live) in the front.

mac

I was referring to another post, not directly targeting you :(

You did say however," it seems they are doing the same thing", which is not even close unfortunately. Hopefully, you will understand the issue more if you give Kenny and Dawna a call and ask them about this off forum, it would be funny at this point, if not so true :(

This is the post I was replying to,

All I have to add is that even though I work for Cummins Rocky Mountain, I send all repower referrals to the crew in GF, because they have such a good reputation. We cannot afford to do that type of work at $100 per hour rates.

We have done a bunch of repowers in the past, matter of fact, when when we had a branch in Great Falls, I was the manager there. I had a Suburban that we put a 6BT into, rotary pump and all back in 1989. Drove it for 15 years, and sold it with 400K on it, to a guy in Nebraska. Still driving around.

We still sell a lot of parts to people doing repowers, but you really have to know what you are doing to do them well.
