Does the noise mean I am going to experience early failure of my SBC? I replaced my DMF with an SBC last year. Can you post pictures of the differences in the old style units VS the newer units Peter?

the same noise everyone is talking about. At idle it sounds like there are bearings and gears in a blender inside of the trans. .
That's encouraging. There's two designs available in the OFE I'm told. You must have the quieter, albeit slightly weaker one. How is the engagement at idle? Some owners have said you must increase rpm's. Reverse engagement? Thanks.I wouldn't have a DMF again if it were free.
For a while I had been thinking that my injectors were bad again with shake at idle.
But not anymore, I have the solid flywheel and the new SBC OFE, absolutly no shake at an idle, and no noise from the clutch.
Everybody on here always said drive the truck like you stole it to clean up the injectors, but everytime I did that the vibration would get worse. Found out it was just the DMF.
