I thought ya'll would like to know... .

Crazy huh? I Never thought I'd see a $51k ram

But then again, it does have rear seat DVD

haha, 51k, well thats a joke...

$400 side airbags= worthless

and 2500 dollars in a radio, gps and dvd... i thought this was a truck?

and whats that extra 20 bucks for 10 gallons of fuel??!?!

"Customer One Owner Loyalty Mailing"

I'm on thier 'loyalty' mailing list cause they charge me! #@$%!

Keep your damn propoganda and give me my $25 back- It'll buy a couple o' cases ;)

It's amazing how fast these things have gone up over the last several years. It wasn't that long ago you could haggle down a 2nd gen to 32k pretty much loaded. I think the heavy duty trucks are following the half tons. Especially since the crew cab half tons have come out it seems they're getting more and more plush and more and more like cars or at least an alternative to the family car... it also amazes me that loaded half ton crew cabs are approaching the 45k mark... naturally the heavy duty trucks will follow suit and price out accordingly.

I'll "upgrade" my '01 3500 when a long bed dually crew cab (I refuse to use the term mega cab) :) is available... . by then it's going to be $60k!!!

keep in mind that if you compare apples to apples between 05 and 06, that they are very close in MSRP

But did you notice the invoice? I bet these new truck will end up having a lower overall price than the 05's after rebates come out - woo-hoo!

PS - that fuel money is so we dont have to run the truck down to the filling station right when we get it, cause it has a few ggallons already

oh well there goes my new truck in 5 years. :-laf guess i'll just stick with the old 12 valvers. my truck didn't come from the factory with a cd player! :D

dt

You wouldn't be saying that if you or a significant other were in your truck in the event of a side collision, and either of your lives were saved by side airbags. They do work. Especially with the smart airbags that are now common in many vehicles.

It's unfortunate that you have to be rich (or have the extra money) to have the safety offered by side airbags. Understanding this (and maybe as a result of litigation mentioning what I just did) Honda is changing many of it's vehicles so that side airbags are standard (where available).

Having said all that, I probably won't buck up for the side airbags when I order my '06.

"Anti- Spin Differential"

Is that just a generic term for a 'Posi- Lock' type of rear end or does it mean you cannot 'spin' the tire -ala- burning rubber?

I just priced a 06 that I can sell for 33879 *(assuming a modest $1000 rebate)

SO that means it is just the fancy DVD/GPS getting that price up there

The affordable trucks will still be available

It looks like the pricing is the same (or really close to) the 2005 pricing. I think Tomeygun's point of posting this is to show how expensive one of these rigs can be. If only those guys at valet parking really knew.

Tomey- ABC is reporting DC's "Employee Pricing" to combat G. M's rise in sales. What does that do for the sticker price ? If I heard the right numbers for my 10,000 mile 03, you would see me at the door in the a. m... ... ... with donuts of course.
