Maybe I missed it, but any word on whether or not the EP discount applies to an '06 megacab (if I were to place an order before August).

Thanks,

Kevin

You're not driving a Cummins. You're driving a Dodge.

No, I'm driving a Cummins. I'm sitting on a Dodge.

I, like most people here, bought a Cummins.

It just happened to have a Dodge wrapper on it! :D :-laf

I Drive a Dodge because I like it I have had the rest and they will not hold up to my driveing style, as far as the allisonn trans. it is no better than the others when you ad power, they all have some problems I have worked on Diesel trucks forover 30 years and if you play you pay. Big are small trucks. Wildman

The way I read it, it only applies to 2005 & earlier models with a few exceptions.

You're right. After seeing your post, I went and read the DC blurb and it says that all 2006 models are excluded. Bummer.

no but the remaining employee choice number I have will cover the 06, if you can get it by years end. we had 2 available this year and one is spoken for. ;)

I say that too, I just despise the fact that people identify these trucks by the engine.

I happen to like the Dodge LOOKS and size over the Fords and Chevys.

I'm in the same camp on that one also. The Dodge truck is hands down the best looking P/U out there. The Cummins is the "extra" icing on the cake!

I for one did NOT want a MONSTER size like a Ford Super Duty. My back seat so far has fit everyone whom has used it and mines hard enough to turn around as it is.

Which Transmission?

Does anyone know how I can find out which transmission I have on my 2005 2500 Quad Cab 4X2 SWB Cummins with 6 speed? Is it the nv5600 or g56?

I believe if your reverse is up and to the right it is the NV5600, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I too have to admit that I first considered the Dodge trucks for their Cummins diesel; BUT, I fell in love with LOOKS of this truck while I still drove my Ford truck. That was the main reason why I BOUGHT the Dodge and not another Ford, the Cummins was just icing on the cake... . you have to remember that the Ford 6. 0 wasn't blowing up with regularity back when I bought this truck; and I had been a loyal Ford truck man since the early 70's. Dodge still has it over the rest of the pack as far as I am concerned.

Yeah, G-56 is down and to the left. I don't know why they couldn't put it down and to the right like the rest of the world's truck transmissions. If I could change anything about my truck, reverse would be down and to the right, where it belongs.

If you see a trans leak under your truck it is a g56. . :-laf

Or just check the build date, someone can provide that for him?
